I got this about a week ago, and the first time I played it was in advance in, "Dead Air", with Todd and his brother. Surprising we did rather well. This game isn't as hard as the second one. On FB, I gave a short review about it and gave it a 10/10, which I wasn't thinking. I say after playing more of it, it'll be a 8/10.
Pros: The hordes are not as annoying as the ones from L4D2. Don't get me wrong, they are annoying, but they're not as bad.
This game isn't as hard as the second one. I never did expert on here because I am far, far from ready for that. I only played the L4D series for a month, so I still have a lot to work on; however, like I mentioned, the first time I played it was on advance. Of course I had more skillful players helping me, but "advance" in L4D2 would be pretty insane. "Normal" mode in L4D2 is like "advance mode".
In L4D1, instead of sitting off an alarm/event and running for the hills, you're suppose to camp out and kill anything that moves, which I like best instead of running.
Cons: The AI players are much more retarded in this game. You you hear a witch, but you can't see her? No problem, the AIs will help you out with that. Trying to avoid sitting off a car alarm? No worries, the AIs will set it off for you. Trying to help a human player who has a mob on them, plus a tank at a finale? Again, no worries, the AIs will just leave your ass to die, instead of fighting to their death to save you (which is how they're suppose to work).
Now unlike L4D2, you don't have Spitters or Chargers to worry about; however, the special infected like the Boomer, Hunter, and Smoker are much more annoying in this game. I played L4D2 before I played the first one, so I'm used to infected spamming a lot (even in easy mode), but a spamming spawn of Boomers? Not cool when you're doing a finale.
Anyways, it is cool and fun game. I suggest playing with good players/friends, so you don't have to deal with the AI players to much. Especially on a harder setting.
