You ever lived (or still live) in places where you get common fast food drive through/restaurants, but other states/certain areas don't have them?
When I lived in Georgia, it was really common to see a Krystal, Chick-Fil-A, and a Checkers. Now that I live in the Bay Area in CA, I don't see any of those places because they're either not in the state or a good long drive from here.
The fast food places I see a lot now are Jack in the Box. I heard they used to be in GA, but they got in trouble and closed down. Anyways, other fast food places here are Wienerschnitze, Five Guys, and A & W. There's another place here that's common, but I can't remember the name at the moment.

Fast food really depends on where you are in the country. In my part of Illinois there's an abundance of Jack In the Box, Rally's (which in some places is known as Checkers), Hardee's (which on the west coast is known as Carl's Jr., however Hardee's is HQed in St. Louis), and Steak 'n Shakes. Speaking of Steak 'n Shake, you will not find any of those west of Centennial, Colorado, so if you like Steak 'n Shake, you'd be better off coming to the midwest (and IL has plenty of SnS to go around...69 total restaurants to be exact, only out done by Indiana which has 70). Five Guys by far I believe is all over the country.
Wienerschnitzel, one that you mentioned, is like almost exclusive to Texas and California, but there are a few other locations in like Arizona, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, and Washington and Louisiana, and the farthest eastward that place goes is actually here in Illinois where there's one in Champaign (where the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is located). A&W in the midwest are very hard to find. Really, you should go to the website and use the store locator. Krystal I have never heard of, and if I've never heard of it, you can pretty much bet that they don't have any of those places in my neck of the woods. I'm going to assume that Krystal pretty much serves the southern or maybe southeastern states, much like Whataburger serves the all of the southern states (you definitely won't find one of those in the midwest).
Lastly, I remember you saying something about Chick-Fil-As in another post (or possibly outside of the forum), but like if you live in the midwest, finding an individual store is hard to come by. Mostly in the midwest you'll find them in mall food courts or on college campuses. Individual restaurants are mostly found in the southern states if I'm not mistaken. I know I mentioned to you that there was maybe one or two about 40 miles northeast of where you live. In Illinois, you'll find at least three individual restaurants in the Chicago area with the rest being inside malls and college campuses.

Krystal is like White Castle. I never saw White Castles in GA, nor have I seen them here so far, but Krystal and White Castle pretty much have the same burgers.
I remember Steak 'n Shakes. I saw a couple of those in GA. I think I might have saw one here a while back. As for Five Guys, I didn't see any of those in GA. If there were some there, I didn't know of any locations. I never even heard of Five Guys until it opened up here recently in Hayward.
I didn't mentioned Hardee's because that's pretty common. I saw them everywhere in GA. It was funny when Mac first came to GA, we went to Hardee's and he goes, "Hey! This is Carl's Jr!." since he didn't know. I honestly never heard of Carl's Jr. until he mentioned it.

White Castle only exists from the midwest to lower New England. The farthest west they go is Columbia, Missouri (in central Missouri), and the farthest east they go is Murfreesboro, Tennessee. So if Krystal is like White Castle, then I'm betting anything that that's the southeast's version of White Castle.
I double checked Steak 'n Shake locations, and...yeah, California, non existent. There might be an equivalent in the western states, but once you go past Centennial, Colorado, like I mentioned earlier, you won't see another Steak 'n Shake again.
Five Guys does exist in Georgia. On the website I found some in the Atlanta area that are scattered about. I'm not sure if they're recent openings or not, but according to the website, there are at least 33 restaurants in the Atlanta area.
A bit of trivia for Hardee's and Carl's Jr. Carl's Jr. exists as far east as Tahlequah, Oklahoma and goes as far west as Kenai, Alaska and Aiea, Hawaii! Hardee's exists as far west as Helena, Montana and extends eastward across the rest of the states. If you live from New Jersey going on north to Maine, you've never heard of both of them! And more interesting, both Oklahoma and Wyoming are the only states that feature both Hardee's and Carl's Jr. restaurants. Oklahoma has a total of 38 Carl's Jr. restaurants in the state, but there is a Hardee's located in Saginaw. Wyoming has a total of 4 Hardee's restaurants, but there's a Carl's Jr. located in Cheyenne. Kind of weird, isn't it?

Well if Five Guys were only in Atlanta that's why I never heard of them. I never traveled to Atlanta much, but I never heard anyone there mention Five Guys before. They recently just opened up here in Hayward a few months ago.
Oh, there's a another place I never been to, but it's "common". Del Taco. I can't remember if I saw some in GA, but there's one here.
All in all, I really don't eat much fast food. I ate it a lot when I was a kid because my mom never cooked and she wasn't home half the time, so I ate junk food. Surprisingly I never got overweight from that.

Del Taco used to be common in a lot of places, but they closed down a lot of places in the midwest. There were three in the Missouri side and they closed them down four or five months ago. Never been, personally, but my friends say they loved it better than Taco Bell.

I was just wondering has any tried the Doritos Taco from Taco Bell yet? How was it? I don't go to Taco Bell that much, but I was curious about the new taco.
