Now anyone that's been to a mall will know what Spencer's is all about. Even by just walking by it and looking through the shop's glass knows this shop is crazy and over the top (as it should). Hell, I bet you half of the little kids that live here know what Spencer's is all about...yes, I even knew as a little kid, and every time I've been to Spencer Gifts lately, I have seen little kids in there.
You see...a few weeks ago, I was in Spencer's and I saw these parents looking at gag gifts and these kids (looked like 10 or younger) were playing around the sex toy isle...and one actually looked at one of the vibrators and asked, "What's this?". I shit you not. Parents weren't too worry about it though as they were getting their shit and giggles from whatever they were looking at.
...yeah, so moving right along. Anyways, like I was saying, everyone's knows what Spencer's is all about...except for this woman.
"I was shocked my daughter was able to buy something like this and more shocked at what I saw when I walked into the store," she said. "I couldn't believe what they are selling."
No doubt she's been living under a rock.
"The outside of the Spencer Gifts store at the Dolphin Mall looks kid- and family-friendly. In the window, there is an advertisement for hats with Sesame Street characters and Sponge Bob Square Pants on them."
Really? I never saw that stuff. I went to Southlake Mall here in GA, plus I've been to three in Hayward (or around there) CA. I never saw that. Granted that they don't display adult related items in the windows, but there was clothes and hats. I don't recall anything related to kid themes though...sounds more like Hot Topic.
