Mace: The Dark Age

This is a fighting game made by Midway that was on Nintendo 64. It wasn't the best fighting game, but Midway had the right idea with it, and I thought the music was cool.

It's been ages since I played it, but I've been playing my N64 a lot here lately and I have been playing Mace on and off for the past couple of days. I have some game play recorded and I'll try to have it up soon (if the program I used would stop being an assbat).

Oh, I would like to mention some of the characters. There's the female ninja, koyasha. She's one of my favorite characters on there and I used to be pretty good with her (or least decent enough not to get pwned all the time). Then there's Namira (who I also like)...imagined if Princess Jasmine was a vengeful harem girl that hated men and waded two swords, that would sum up Namira.

Now when people think of the game Mace, the ones who know it would be reminded of the The Executioner. Seems like when I ask people about the game, that's the first character they mentioned. He's an alright character to me, but he does have one of the coolest stages in the game.

I kept seeing that game at the local Blockbuster and always thought about renting it, but never did. Honestly I didn't think much of it, really, but now I'm intrigued and want to give it a try.

It's not the best fighting game, but it isn't the worse (I Think War Gods is the worse). I don't like it as much as I used to since I was a teen, but it's really not that bad. To me, the game play is slow pace and I don't really care for the movements (only because I'm used to faster fighting games like KI and the newer MK games).

I do suggest giving it a try at least. Like I said before, Midway had the right idea with the game. Now that WB is in charge, I would like to see a new and improve Mace, but it probably won't happen because it didn't take off well. But who knows?
