The newest NFS game now has a demo up live on both XBL Marketplace and PSN Store. Mine is still downloading as I type this, but once I got it downloaded and installed I'll give it a go. BTW, get this demo while it's up live because come November 9th, it'll be gone just in time for the game's release.
This game is a radical return to NFS' core roots: hot supercars and the cop chases from NFS III: Hot Pursuit and NFS: Hot Pursuit 2. This NFS is developed by Criterion Games, the developers behind the highly successful Burnout franchise (which BTW if you haven't check out yet, I implore you to immediately because those games are so friggin' awesome), so you can expect something high from this famed developer. You can expect me getting the full version of this once it's released (which reminds me I have to upgrade my PS3's HDD size as soon as I can since the one inside it now is nearly reaching maximum capacity), so expect a review from me on this and some more racing games as they pop out.

I just recently purchased this game and from what I've played thus far, it's absolutely awesome! Expect something more detailed in the near future as I venture further into the game.
Oh, and if you're planning on buying this game, no matter what system you get it on, at least try to get it new. Thanks to EA Online Pass, getting it used will initially lock you out of most of the online features including online multiplayer (if you're into that sort of thing). If you end up getting it used, you'll have to purchase the Online Pass in the game (I think it's like $10 or $15).

I'll have to check if the demo is still up for this. I haven't played my 360 lately, but I was thinking about playing Forza 3 again.

The demo is gone, plus if you've downloaded it already, it's no longer valid. They put that demo out as a two week only deal (from October 26 to November 9). Not sure why they did that, but yeah, no demo available anymore. You'll have to buy the game to see what it's like (don't worry, though, it's only $40 as of now...might go down more later, though when I don't really know).

I did get the Carbon trial. I played a little bit of it and yeah...no surprise, I suck at it. That game is not n00b racer friendly. I will play more of it to see if I can get the hang of it. I need to find me a News van to crash into...

Many arcade racers back then were not very n00b friendly. You had to be very skilled at a racer in order to really play them. Racers these days are much more n00b friendly (as is a lot of games that come with tutorials).
