My short review that I wrote on FB:
9/10 - I'm not a fan of racing games, but I played this game at my boyfriend's house, and I enjoyed it a lot. I was able to get this game when I bought my X-box. If you're not good with racing games, this game makes it easy for you and you get to buy and unlock any cool car you want and design it without having to be a pro. The only downside to it is has very long and boring tracks that are 14 or more miles long. Not very challenging, just time consuming. The music isn't bad, but it doesn't stand out (except for Celldweller's song, but it doesn't really fit into racing). Of course, that's easy to fix if you have music on you 360.

Anyone here that's played it, feel free to post your review on it (or the past FM games), or anything else you like to share about it. I haven't played that much of it since I got a copy of my own. I just haven't been into the mood to race on very long tracks.

Once I pick it up, I'll post one. Just on another note, the customization in Forza is nothing new. It was present in the first Forza and the second one. That's what sets it apart from Gran Turismo. Whereas Gran Turismo has one of the steepest learning curves in a racing game, Forza seems to be much more user-friendly so that it may appeal to everyone. I'm still interested in seeing what Sony does with the final Gran Turismo 5 though.

I don't know nothing about the older Forza games. I just know what few racing games I played, I did horrible in them except for Forza 3. It's n00b-friendly, and it's cool that you can be a n00b at racing, yet get the really cool cars and lots of money easily.

I have been playing this game a lot lately. The very long tracks (or laps that equal over ten miles) do still get on my nerves, but I love some of the cars I have. I will post pictures of the cars/designs I have someday.

I just picked up the game today, so I'll be taking a look at it and then get around to my thoughts of it. Still eagerly anticipating Gran Turismo 5 though, and I'll be preordering that one.

Well after a little bit of time with Forza, I can say I enjoy it. I started my game with the Honda Fit (what was going to be my new car until I got my Hyundai Accent). The game itself is just as I remember it when I played the first Forza on the old Xbox. All of the customizations are still there and the racing aspect hasn't changed too much. As much as I enjoyed the first Forza, I think I'll equally enjoy Forza 3.

It is a good game and fun, just don't do too much at a time when it comes to the long races, unless you really don't mind doing 20-30 mile races three to five times in a row. It can be really boring at times. It'll only get worse too. There's some that go up to 145 miles (maybe more), I haven't done those yet, but I might pass on that, unless it's require to finish the season races (even then I probably won't do it; depends on how bored I am).
It's really the only complaint I have about the game, and some of the tracks are really wacky. It's like one of the track designers were drunk and hyped up on something and decided tracks with retarded turns would be the awesome thing ever.
If you get a car that's an Class A or higher you'll see what the problem is with these tracks.
Anyways, seems like all I do is whine about the tracks or how long they are, but you get pass that and it's a cool game. The graphics are nice, and it's a n00b-friendly racing game.

After years of playing Gran Turismo I'm already used to the long races. In every single Gran Turismo game I've played there were the long races at the end of the game. Those were the true skill testers of racing games in my opinion. I may need a break every now and then, but I tackled those races no problem and came out in first place, especially in Gran Turismo 2. You have to remember that Forza Motorsport, as well as Gran Turismo, are racing simulators, and they were built for the racing fan in mind. If you've ever watched NASCAR, Formula 1, or Le Mans, you'll know that those races last for hours on end, and the idea that both Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport present is a simulation of those type of races.

The long tracks are easy...but that's the thing, they are not challenging. Just time consuming. But I also don't play on hard sittings, I stuck with normal or easy because racing is not my thing, so maybe the harder difficulty makes the long tracks a challenge.
Though I noticed with some reviews I read about Forza, people have complained about the long tracks too, and they're like real big racing fans.
Anyways, as I said, I like Forxa and I can get pass the long tracks, but there's a lot of good things in the game that make up for that. Plus, most of the time when there's a car in front of you, it'll just randomly run off the road and crash in the wall or something. Oh, and the New York track is a trip. I hate racing on it, but the other cars will run right smack into those things that are sticking out and flip over. Very asuming, but you have to be careful that doesn't happen to you.
