They revealed this back at last year's E3, so I've known about it for a good long while now. Good that Nintendo is finally making the jump to HD, although still a little too late. Still in all, there's seems to be plenty of support rallying around the new console from third party devs. They're going to be giving out more details on it come this year's E3 so I'm looking forward to June to see what's on tap.

I do remembered it being mentioned last year, but of all the things that have been happening around that time (and to the end of the year) I've blocked it out because there wasn't much info on it, and Nintendo didn't say when it'll be out (but again, I could be wrong and didn't p[ay attention/or blocked it out).
Either way, more details will be revealed at this year's E3.

Old topic, but I'll reply to say that I own a Wii U and really like it, but am disappointed in the lack of games and the fact that it'll be out of date technologically speaking the moment the PS4 or "Xbox Next" is released.
The Wii U controller is really comfortable, and the ability to play games and watch videos on the gamepad with the TV off or doing something else is a really big bonus for me. I like handheld systems, but rarely use them for their portability. I just like having the screen in my hands. So I spend most of my time playing Arkham City on the gamepad only.
Watch_Dogs was just announced for Wii U, so hopefully that'll turn out good. I was holding out for Aliens: Colonial Marines but that obviously didn't turn out so well.
But, if all else fails, Wii U has Bayonetta 2 as an exclusive.
