Hmm...gotta get some topics rolling here.. hmm...I guess I'll kick it off on asking what do you want to see in Star Fox Wii (if there is one, though I'm sure there will be).

Fox walking away with a can of gasoline as the headquarters for Q-Games burns behind him. XD

Well, since it's going to be a flight game, the controls would have to be really suited with the Wiimote. I would like to see a combination of the original Star Fox from the SNES and Star Fox 64. And put Krystal back on the Star Fox team and have her reconcile with Fox. I didn't like the fact she was with Panther (I have yet to play Command, but I hear that's her main ending).
A new weapons system for the Arwing wouldn't hurt, either. I'm sure they can add in a new feature somewhere on the Arwings.

I would just like it if Nintendo did things on their own and didn't work with another party. Command was a challenge, but after I unlocked two endings, I just didn't care about playing it again. I really didn't care for the fan-soap endings. That's something I do not want to see in the next games. Plus, there's the last minute characters...I don't have a problem with Lucy, but she came out of nowhere. Peppy's a big star in the series, and never once did he mentioned he had a daughter, then in Command, it was like she was there throughout the series.
I feel Nintendo needs to work more on character backgrounds, and to stop rushing storylines. Just take you time Nintendo, and you can develop a really nice game here. I mean, nice enough to be even bigger than the Zelda series.

Fortunately, none of Command's endings are canon, so they can pretty much cut out the whole "Krystal with Panther" crap. Now if they could just say Command never existed, that'd be nice. XD

Command must've been that bad for you. Maybe I'll skip out on it myself, even though I'm very intrigued by it. But I have to agree with Orchid, though. Nintendo needs to handle Star Fox themselves, instead of putting the project with another company. Rare didn't really do it justice, and Namco-Bandai kinda screwed it up. As long as I see no ground missions where Fox and co. have to be on foot, I'd be happy. Those ground missions in Assault were really frustrating.

Lol, ironically, I enjoyed the Ground Missions over the flying ones. XD
But in all honesty, Assault did lack quite a bit in both mission number and railshooter levels. And railshooter levels were completely absent in Command, replaced by stupid "kill X number of a certain enemy within the time limit" mini missions stolen from the unreleased Star Fox 2. In fact, Command basically cloned Star Fox 2 without the fun (plus Fay and Miyu > Amanda and Lucy). Plus, touchscreen controls should never be used for a flight simulator.
If I'm not mistaken, I believe Miyamoto himself said that the next Star Fox game would be run by Nintendo's developement team without any Third Party. The Wii would do it justice as the motion controls worked very well in the Wario Ware boss minigame (which simulated the SNES Star Fox). I would like to see more of a balance between flying railshooters, tank railshooters, and on foot missions (either in all range mode or in a railshooter style similar to Sin and Punishment).

Yeah, I agree with nevar again wanting to see touch-screen controls in a flight simulator. Command lacked a lot for me. The storyline was repetitive (meaning only the first ending was fun for me...only pure stubborness made me play through a few more endings before finally setting it aside) and now only multi-player can convince me to pick it up again. I also totally could not see Krystal running crying out on Star Fox for Panther. Not only does that pairing suck, but it was so OOC for her to me. I also hated the time limit (turn limit, whatever) present in the game...a total WTF for me. Screw up once and lose a vital turn, and you likely will have to repeat the level - annoying as hell, plus some of the characters in there made certain parts of the levels nigh-on impossible unless you were stupidly good with the touch-screen targeting system. (Try shooting down a missile without the target-locking ability of a charged shot, while attempting to stay on course...I never wanted to pull my hair out more in my life.) Also, in terms of adding in a new weapons system: targeting that is separate from directional control when flying. I can see that happening with, like, the nunchuck + Wii remote combination. It would be limited, to be sure, but I'd still like to be able to hit a target while banking without having to rely on the auto-targeting lock that comes from charging up a shot. I liked the ground missions, but probably because I like the feel of FPS for the most part. Being able to shoot and dive and roll as Fox outside of SSBM was awesome
