I have to go to Taco Bell and get a taco now. But yeah, you are right, I have seen people buy some very unhealthy foods with food stamps or they just go to their convenient store and load up on honey buns. I worked in one before, so I've seen it.

No they should not. I'm in college and working a part time job and my taxes are going to welfare people that eat better than me. they need to go out and buy a bag of rice and load up on Ramon noodles.

Peoples' tax money is going to all kinds of things they don't want to pay for, like feeding those asstards in prisons, paying for kids schooling even if that person doesn't have any, roads to be worked on even if that person doesn't drive, etc...
Anyhoo, I personality would not waste food stamps on fast food. Taco Bell, KFC, and Pizza Hut are nasty; however, what people used their food stamps on doesn't keep me awake at night. Yes, it's another excuse for people to get fat, but they were doing that anyways with or without food stamps. In addition, it is a pity that people get jealous of anyone living on food stamps...

Here's my take on it. People are using food stamps for, what else? Food. Food is food to me, no matter what it is or where it comes from. As long as that's where the stamps are going towards, it doesn't bother me none. People have to eat.

It's been said already but people have to eat. if people want to buy fast food or buy a bunch of junk food with their food stamps then that's their business.

No! A lot of the morons that are on food stamps are living off the government. They don't try to get jobs as long as they have free food. Fast food is a luxury.

I don't see how fast food is a luxury - but that could just be me since I don't care for fast food that much anyways. I considered Red Lobster, Olive Garden, etc (any places like that) to be considered luxury, and food stamps isn't paying for that. There's people out there that can't cook or have no way to cook, so I don't see how a dollar taco is hurting anybody.
