I played the demo of this on the 360. I like what I played of it so far, but I'm not a fan of the controls (having to used the top bottoms to run and jump). I heard many bad reviews of this though about you spend a lot of time dying than you do playing. They mentioned you can master some part of it, only to die over and over and over to one little part and it'll take them two hours to get it right. It wasn't just a few reviews that complained about this - there was a lot... What I played of the demo, I died a few times, but it was because of the controls. I played the demo a second time and did better, but I wish I could customize the controls (the demo doesn't allow this, but I hope the actual game does.). Anyways, are the reviews about the deaths in this game annoying/bad as they claim it is? Trailer for it.

I have the full game on my PS3 (of course) and I can vouch for some of the reviews on it. As you progress through the game (as short as it is) the levels do in fact get a lot harder and jumping does become a huge issue (this isn't an issue for 360 owners, but whenever I play the game I normally keep the motion control off since it screws with me on several occasions). The best thing about the demo is that it gives you the chance to get used to the controls which readies you for the full game (I played the demo of that game over and over again until I got used to having to use the shoulder buttons which actually feel a little bit comfortable). Once again, EA's nasty anti-user custom controller configuration rule comes into play here as the controls are not at all customizable and use a fixed set of controller configurations (which only affect the shoulder buttons). So if you haven't checked the game out and want to, I would suggest downloading the demo from either XBLA Marketplace or PlayStation Store and play though it enough times so that you'll be able to get used to the controls.

I was hoping you can change the controls to whatever you want. Well, I have gotten better with the demo, so I guess I will play it more to get everything down path.

I have played this game before, but it has been a few years ago. I didn't get to play much of it. I didn't like the controls but the graphics were amazing!

I bought this game in May, but I really haven't played much of it. I have ADD with games. I'll play a little bit of it and move on to a different game and do the same thing to it.

It happens to the best of us. I didn't finish Mirror's Edge until about six months after I bought it.
