For those who never heard of them, it's a "goth-metal" band. The singer and bass player of the band was Peter Steele, and unfortunately passed away a few months ago due to heart failure.
Steele had a very deep voice - yet it had a unique sound to it. If you heard him singing a sound on some oddball radio section, you'll know right away that it's Peter Steele. Yes, he has done some...say, interesting songs.
Anyways, those who are into the goth/metal/whatever rock, you'll enoy Type O Negative. Yes...a lot of Peter's songs could be considered "emo", but Peter has a strange sense of humor and it show in some songs. Good songs I suggest hearing first is Wolf Moon and Burnt Flowers. There's a few others (then again, they have a lot of good songs), but I can't think of anymore right now.
